Lynn Saxberg, Music Critic for The Ottawa Citizen has dubbed Scott as "Ottawa's funkiest Christian Rocker" He is a 7 time Covenant award nominee and 1 time winner. Scott and his band have opened for Kirk Franklin, Peter Furler (former Newsboys front man), Building 429 and he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Christian music during the 25TH anniversary of Kingdom Bound in Buffalo New York. He played the Ottawa Bluesfest for the 2ND consecutive year joining Downhere, Neworldson, Building 429 and The City Harmonic. His musical influences range from Stevie Wonder to Steely Dan and everything in between. He blends funk, rock, blues and soul to create a unique brand of music that is guaranteed to get you up and grooving. He is a musician, singer / songwriter, worship leader and teacher who loves God and loves people. 

His first album "Sons of Light" received major radio support in Canada,  the United States and Europe. Multiple hit singles including "One Church" and "Shine On" remained on the charts for 26 weeks. On the encouragement of Brock Tozer, music director for CHRI 99.1 FM (Ottawa, Canada), Scott returned to the recording studio in August of 2011. He decided to work once again with two time producer of the year Andrew Horrocks. He brought in some of the top musicians and singers from the Canadian CCM. The CD was released on March 3, 2012. The all-star cast included a horn section that had played with MOTOWN greats like Aretha Franklin and Billy Preston. Award winning keyboard player Mike Janzen brought his funky grooves to the mix and Scott's longtime lead guitarist Joel Williams delivered amazing riffs once again.

The second record "Freedom Train" also brought together a variety of singers who lent their voices to this project like: Ali Matthews, Sean Dayton, Chris Bray, Dana Marie & Amy Savin. Colin Bernard who just finished releasing an album he made with renowned producer Ed Cash. The gospel trio of Rufus John, Natahsa John and Melissa Laguerre delivered a rich texture that screams MOTOWN! Rapper Prosper Laguerre rapped on the song "Forever Changed" Freedom train had multiple hit singles including: Forever Changed, Freedom Train, In His Will and Join Together which won a covenant award for collaboration of the year. 

Scott's third album "Love Revolution" has a real throwback sound. Joel Williams has produced the new record and the first single "Love" is already in rotation on christian radio. This new record features friends and family who have played with him over the years including: Joel Williams, Jared Jost, Josh Lyon, Dave Muir, Lisa Gayle-Pryce, Debbie Braham and Jessa Blackburn. The record took almost 4 years to record and covers a very powerful time in Scott's life where he has decided to no longer charge for his music and is now giving it all away, including this new record, for free download. He is following God's call which is what the late Keith Green did and hopes that you will be blessed by his music!


Scott’s youth was filled with drugs, alcohol and women. He has survived severe trauma in his life and has been clean and sober for the past 30 years. With his wife Sherri and daughters Cheyenne and Jessa by his side he is a devout follower of Christ and works hard to shine his light for the Kingdom.
